With over 95 participating venues and more than 250 creatives involved, this third edition promises an immersive experience across various neighborhoods, including exciting new additions like Ajuda, Belém, Restelo and Beato/Marvila.

LDW has launched a user-friendly digital platform developed by ABM Studio, which makes navigating the extensive array of events a breeze. This bilingual (Portuguese/English) Progressive Web Application (PWA) allows you to tailor your itinerary to your personal interests effortlessly.

Highlighted Exhibitions and Events
LDW features a diverse range of exhibitions and events showcasing both established and emerging talents.
“Sobre Mesa” at Aires Mateus Archive
Co-curated by Spanish studio MUT Design and Portuguese designer João Xará, this flagship exhibition delves into the Iberian tradition of lingering at the table after meals. You will find works from over 20 designers that offer a contemplative exploration of social and cultural rituals.
Young Design Generation at MUDE
In collaboration with MUDE—Museu do Design, this exhibition presents 20 selected pieces from a record 157 submissions by emerging designers. The displayed works foster a dialogue between new talent and established design narratives alongside MUDE’s long-term exhibition “What Are Things For?”.
“Locke Rising” at Hotel Locke de Santa Joana
Set in a restored 17th-century convent, this exhibition features new works by AB+AC Architects, Mariana Ralo, and Terrakota, among others. It exemplifies the harmony between heritage and contemporary creativity.
“The Chairman” at Branca Lisboa Showroom
This exhibition celebrates 15 years of designer Marco Sousa Santos’ career. It focuses on the evolution of chair design, offering insights into one of the most iconic and technically demanding objects in furniture design.
“Perspectives of Belonging” at Novobanco Gallery
Here, you will find design pieces inspired by photographs from the Novobanco Photography Collection, one of Europe’s largest corporate photography collections. The exhibition highlights the interplay between visual art and design.
Emmanuel Babled at Prime Matter Gallery
Internationally acclaimed French designer Emmanuel Babled presents “Kukua,” a collection produced in collaboration with Tanzanian artisans. This exhibition underscores the fusion of global design perspectives and traditional craftsmanship.
“Perspective & Matter” by Luso Collective in Marvila
For this exhibition, following their standout set design in the previous edition, Luso Collective explores the tension between perception and materiality, emphasizing the dynamic dialogue in contemporary creation.
“The Echo of Raw Materials” at Roca Lisboa Gallery
Curated by Wesley Sacardi, this group show features pieces by 12 Portuguese designers and artisans made from recovered raw materials, highlighting innovative and sustainable design practices.
