About Bureau Alice
Alice Hoffmann aka Bureau Alice is currently base in Zurich, Switzerland.
She started her illustration career in international agencies as an art and creative director. What she enjoys about illustration is the possibility to comunicate with any language worldwide with a single image that is understood by everyone.

Analog vs Digital
Alice begins her work analogously and finishes it digitally. Paper and pen are her most important work utensils. Aftre completing it by hand, she transfers to digital illustration by researching the perfect color codes in Adobe Illustration. Alice asks herelf these questions: Which combination supports the theme of the motif? Which color does the object reinterpret?
She finds inspiration for her colourful and expressive works exploring the art and culture of other countries.
Alice portfolio is full of patterns, animal and nature motifs, alongside children’s and lifestyle illustrations. All motifs combine her graphic style, an independent mixture of retro and modern, minimalistic and expressive.
